Ms. Lee's plays have been optioned, performed or developed in DC/MD; Chicago; VT, Atlanta and NYC. She is currently in development with Boomerang Theatre Company in NYC. A 2021 finalist for the Bay Area Playwrights Festival, Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival and Circle Of Confusion Writers Discovery Fellowship, Ms. Lee won the Florida Theatricals’ 2021 Discovery series for her musical, Triple Threats, with composer Nehemiah Luckett, which will workshop in FL in Sept. Previous honors include the National Black Theatre I AM SOUL fellowship, American Theatre Group’s PlayLab membership and semi/finalist lists for the Princess Grace, Live & In Color and NY Innovative Theatre Awards. 

Also an actor, Ms. Lee has originated roles off Broadway and regionally, performing in over 80 professional productions around the globe, yielding Carbonell, NAACP and Barrymore Awards. Recent highlights include playing Man in Where We Stand, Clairee in Steel Magnolias, Cynthia in Sweat and 5 productions as Billie Holiday in Lady Day At Emerson’s Bar & Grill. She has won acting awards for her independent film work and has played roles on the small screen in The Path, Ed, SMASH, L&O: Criminal Intent, All My Children & Guiding Light. She recurs as Detective Ross in season 3 of FBI on CBS.
