A unique artist of many crafts: Sade Murray, 24, (she/they), is a virtual dance and theatre instructor for George Street Playhouse (NJ), and School of Contemporary Dance & Thought (MA). Since the age of 11, she’s dedicated her life to the arts, and was cast as Young Nala in The Lion King on Broadway’s National Tour. Being from Springfield, Massachusetts, this artistic opportunity was rare and opened doors for two other young cubs from the same city. Since then, they have been featured in a GAP commercial, trained with programs at the Alvin Ailey School, attended the first cohort of Dance Lab New York with Josh Prince, performed repertoire by Bill T. Jones, & has choreographed musicals like “High School Musical” and competition dances for students aged 6-21yrs old. Sade Murray is the creator of the Body Voice Movement Project, which explores storytelling through motion.
