In addition to American Son (2016 Laurents/Hatcher Award), Chris’ writing credits include Fear Up Harsh (2014 American Theatre Critics Association’s Steinberg Award Citation), When the Sun Shone Brighter (2011 Carbonell Award for Best New Work; 2010 Silver Palm Award for Outstanding New Work; ATCA Steinberg Award nomination; National New Play Network’s Smith Prize), Captiva (Steinberg Award nomination; three 2011 Carbonell Award nominations, including Best New Work), Our Lady of Allapattah (ArtSport New Works Playwriting Contest winner), and So I Was Wondering… (Heideman Award finalist). Chris is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Miami School of Law. He also holds graduate degrees from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and the University of Geneva. He lives in Miami, Florida with his wife, Stephanie, and his daughters, Katherine and Jillian. He and his wife are co-founders of Zoetic Stage, an award-winning theatre in residence at The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida.
