Accessibility
George Street Playhouse offers all people equal access and opportunities to engage with our work. If any individual requires special assistance or assistive technology, please contact our Patron Services team at 732-246-7717 as far in advance as possible, so that we may serve you the best.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESIBILITY
Our theater spaces and restroom facilities are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair accessible seating is available until sold out. It may be purchased either online or by calling 732-246-7717. There is a public elevator in the lobby for access to the balcony
AUDIO-DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES
In a performance with audio description, attendees have the opportunity to receive a live verbal commentary through a small radio receiver, which describes the visual elements of the performance. This service is particularly beneficial for theater attendees with visual impairments, as it provides a narration of the on-stage events that occur without dialogue, such as fight scenes. Additionally, audio description occasionally extends beyond the play itself, offering supplementary details about the program, as well as descriptions of costumes and stage settings prior to the start of the performance.
Please call the Patron Services team, 732-246-7717, for further information or questions. Audio-described performances are made possible by support from the Fund for the New Jersey Blind, Inc.
