What's in the spotlight on NJ stages?

It only seems fitting that the first production to grace George Street Playhouse's new stage centers around baseball.

After all, the city of New Brunswick and arts proponents stepped up to the plate years ago, took a big swing and belted a grand slam, manifesting in the brand-new New Brunswick Performing Arts Center, which will provide a home and performing space for George Street, Crossroads Theatre Company,Rutgers' Mason Gross School of the Arts and American Repertory Ballet/Princeton Ballet School.

"Welcome to a New George Street," says artistic director David Saint. "It’s a whole new ballgame."
