Streaming theater: How Broadway's Andréa Burns tackled a brave new world


After 30 years of performing professionally, Broadway's Andréa Burns admits she can be a little choosy with her projects, aiming to continue stretching her acting muscles.

"It has to have some sort of challenge in it that I feel is going to make me grow and make me better at what I do, so that's what I’m looking for —  that thing that just makes me excited and a little bit scared at the same time," she said.

Luckily, George Street Playhouse had a proposition that fit exactly the bill. And Burns says she was up to it not only because of the challenges it presented, but because it allowed her to be part of an initiative to help provide revenue and keep the theater afloat during the shutdown.
