Her Portmanteau Postponed

In the interest of safety for our artists, our staff and our audiences, George Street Playhouse has made the decision to postpone our production of Her Portmanteau, originally scheduled to open this January, to the fall of 2022.

We do not make this decision lightly, but we know it is the correct decision to make at this time, as we and our colleagues track the rise in COVID-19 cases throughout the state.

We, like you, were so excited for this moving production to take the live stage, and to that end, we cannot wait to see it fully realized later this year. Through the resiliency of supporters like you, we remain emboldened to make sure that “the show must go on.”

We look forward to welcoming you back to the theatre beginning  March 1 for Baipás, written by Jacobo Morales and directed by Julio Monge.

If you are a ticket holder, your tickets will be automatically transferred into a performance and seat of equal value in fall 2022. We will be in touch about your new show dates, should you need to exchange.

Thank you for your understanding and your support. If you have any questions, please contact our Patron Services team at (732) 246-7717. Someone will be waiting to take your call or respond to your voicemail message.
