BOX OFFICE POLICIES
Ticket Pick Up and Delivery:
If the date of your performance is five days or less, your tickets will be held for you at our Box Office. At all other times, you have the option of receiving your tickets in the mail, or having them held at the Box Office. Orders are processed within 24 hours of their receipt in the Box Office.
Ticket exchanges may be made by phone, mail or in person at any time prior to the date and time printed on your ticket. However, tickets may not be exchanged from one show to another. Please note that there may be an upgrade fee if you exchange to a more expensive performance; i.e. from a Tuesday to a Friday. There is no service fee for the exchange of a subscription ticket; however, all single-ticket purchases carry a $5 per ticket exchange fee.
We are unable to exchange tickets at the window within the half hour prior to a performance.
Lost Ticket Replacement:
If your tickets are lost or stolen please contact the Box Office to have them reprinted.
If you are unable to use or exchange your tickets, please donate them back to the Playhouse. If we receive notification of your donation at least 24 hours prior to the performance we will be happy to provide you with a donation acknowledgement letter for your tax records.
No babes in arms:
All patrons must have a ticket to attend a performance. Babies and children who are not old enough to occupy a seat will not be permitted in the theatre. Please consult the box office about age appropriateness for each production by calling 732-246-7717 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please be on time:
Please plan your trip to allow for adequate time to park your car, pick up your tickets and be seated prior to curtain.
Latecomers and persons leaving the theatre during a performance will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager at an appropriate interval in the play.
Patrons arriving after the play has begun will be seated at the back of the house so as to cause the least disruption for the actors and audience.
Turn off anything that makes a noise or light:
Before entering the theatre, please silence all cell phones, pagers and anything that lights up or makes noise. In our intimate space, any noises and lights are a distraction to the actors and to your fellow audience members. House management reserves the right to confiscate any device deemed a distraction for the duration of the performance.
Unwrap your candy:
If you think you might want to enjoy a hard candy or throat lozenge, please consider unwrapping it before the performance has started. The cellophane wrappers create a noise that echoes loudly around the theatre.
Bring a Sweater:
Between the theatrical lighting and our building’s air conditioning system, the temperature in the theatre can sometimes vary from hot to cold. Please consider bringing a jacket or sweater than can be easily put on or removed if needed.
