AUDIO-DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES

In a performance with audio description, attendees have the opportunity to receive a live verbal commentary through a small radio receiver, which describes the visual elements of the performance. This service is particularly beneficial for theater attendees with visual impairments, as it provides a narration of the on-stage events that occur without dialogue, such as fight scenes. Additionally, audio description occasionally extends beyond the play itself, offering supplementary details about the program, as well as descriptions of costumes and stage settings prior to the start of the performance.

Please call the Patron Services team, 732-246-7717, for further information or questions. Audio-described performances are made possible by support from the Fund for the New Jersey Blind, Inc.
