A landmark partnership spearheaded by the City of New Brunswick, the New Brunswick Development Corporation (DEVCO), and several additional agencies and organizations, has funded construction of a performing arts complex on the site of our current theatre that will break ground in the Fall of 2017 and be completed in time for the grand opening of George Street Playhouse’s 2019-2020 Season.

George Street Playhouse’s Summer Theatre Academy celebrates each student’s creative expression; providing a fun, engaging environment to explore theatre, develop self-confidence, and collaborate with others.
Registration is open, but limited. Auditions are not required.
Our nurturing staff of professional theatre artists offers classes for students 5-18 in the foundations of acting, movement, voice, musical theatre, and design.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund if cancelled 2 weeks prior to start date.
Discounts: Returning students, students registering for more than one class, and GSP subscribers can receive a 10% discount. Discounts may not be combined. Discounts may not be applied to either Morning or Extended Care.
Scholarships: A limited number of need-based scholarships are available. Applications must be submitted no later than May 27, 2017. All scholarship applications must include page 1 of your Federal Income Tax Return. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
