By Car...

...via Route 18, Garden State Parkway & NJ Turnpike

From Route 18, Garden State Parkway and New Jersey Turnpike (see additional directions below):
Follow Route 18 North and take exit for US 1 South (Trenton/Princeton). Continue on US 1 South for approximately 1 mile, keeping to the right. Pass the exits for Ryders Lane and take the exit for College Farm Road. Turn right at intersection onto College Farm Road. George Street Playhouse is the first building on your right. The parking lot is in the rear of building.

From the Garden State Parkway:
Take exit 129 to the New Jersey Turnpike South. Take exit 9 off the Turnpike to Route 18 North to New Brunswick and follow directions above.

From the New Jersey Turnpike:
Take exit 9 to Route 18 North towards New Brunswick and follow directions above.


From US 1 North (coming from the south):
Take exit for Technology Centre of New Jersey. Continue for 0.3 mile (passing DeVry University on your right) to traffic light at intersection. Make left at light, go under US 1 and make right at traffic light onto Technology Way. Continue on Technology Way for 0.2 mile and make left at intersection onto College Farm Road. George Street Playhouse is the first building on your right. The parking lot is in rear of building.

From US 1 South (coming from the north):
After passing exits for Ryders Lane, keep right and take exit for College Farm Road. Turn right at intersection onto College Farm Road. George Street Playhouse is the first building on your right. The parking lot is in rear of building.

Using Route 27 North:
Take Route 27 North into downtown New Brunswick and follow signs for Route 18 South. Continue on Route 18 South for approximately 1.25 miles and take exit for US 1 South (Trenton/Princeton). Continue on US 1 South for approximately 1 mile, keeping to the right. Pass the exits for Ryders Lane and take the exit for College Farm Road. Turn right at intersection onto College Farm Road. George Street Playhouse is the first building on your right. The parking lot is in rear of building.

Using Route 27 South:
Take Route 27 South over the Raritan River Bridge. Take exit for Route 18 South. Continue on Route 18 South for approximately 1.5 miles and take exit for US 1 South (Trenton/Princeton). Continue on US 1 South for approximately 1 mile, keeping to the right. Pass the exits for Ryders Lane and take the exit for College Farm Road. Turn right at intersection onto College Farm Road. George Street Playhouse is the first building on your right. The parking lot is in rear of building.

From US 130:
Take US 130 North to US 1 North. Continue on US 1 North for approximately 0.4 mile and take exit for Technology Centre of New Jersey. Continue for 0.3 mile (passing DeVry University on your right) to traffic light at intersection. Make left at light, go under US 1 and make right at traffic light onto Technology Way. Continue on Technology Way for 0.2 mile and make left at intersection onto College Farm Road. George Street Playhouse is the first building on your right. Parking lot is in rear of building.

Using Interstate 287 South (coming from north of New Brunswick):
Take exit 8 for Possumtown Road toward Highland Park/Middlesex. Keep right on jughandle and turn right onto Possumtown Road. Turn left at traffic light onto Centennial Ave. Make next right onto Route 18 South. Continue on Route 18 South for 6.5 miles and take exit for US 1 South (Trenton/Princeton). Continue on US 1 South for approximately 1 mile, keeping to the right. Pass the exits for Ryders Lane and take the exit for College Farm Road. Turn right at intersection onto College Farm Road. George Street Playhouse is thefirst building on your right. The parking lot is in rear of building.

Using Interstate 287 North (coming from south of New Brunswick):
Take Route 287 North to Exit 8 for Knightsbridge Road. Continue straight on Knightsbridge Road for approximately 0.5 mile (at circle, take second exit to continue straight) and then make right onto Route 18 South. Continue on Route 18 South for 6.5 miles and take exit for US 1 South (Trenton/Princeton). Continue on US 1 South for approximately 1 mile, keeping to the right. Pass the exits for Ryders Lane and take the exit for College Farm Road. Turn right at intersection onto College Farm Road. George Street Playhouse is the first building on your right. The parking lot is in rear of building.


PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

By Train/Bus...

  • Take NJ Transit's NEC line to New Brunswick Station.
  • Go to Bus Stop on Somerset Street near intersection with George Street (adjacent to train trestle)
  • Wait for the Rutgers EE Bus* (Monday through Friday when college is open) or the Weekend 2 Bus** (Saturdays and Sundays) and take to Food Sciences Building Stop.
  • Get off bus at Food Science Building Stop. From there, it's about a 1/2-mile walk to George Street Playhouse.
  • Head west toward intersection of Dudley Road and College Farm Road. Cross College Farm Road and then turn left on College Farm Road, using sidewalk.
  • Continue on sidewalk along College Farm Road until it ends at the crosswalk to George Street Playhouse driveway at 103 College Farm Road.

*You may also take the Rutgers F Bus on weekdays from New Brunswick Station to the Food Sciences Building Stop for matinees and to evening performances; however, this bus generally stops running around 9 p.m. so you will need to take the EE Bus back to downtown New Brunswick.

**The Weekend 2 Bus replaces all regular weekday buses during Rutgers University's winter break (Winter Break 2), spring break (Spring Break 2) and summer break (Summer 2).
